Klaari’s attitude wall in Stockholm

Klaari was invited to Stockholm in order to present ‘Express your opinion’ –wall method at  Expert meeting on alcohol and health organized by the Swedish Ministry of Health and Social Affairs in cooperation with DG SANCO on the 21st and 22nd of September, 2009 . The arguments of the wall included age limits concerning buying alcohol, alcohol advertising, and buying alcohol to one’s own under aged children. Most of the participants expressing their opinion on the wall with the stickers thought that the age limit concerning buying alcohol should be at least 18 years. The opinions were almost as unanimous about argument of buying alcohol to one’s own under aged children should be prohibited by law. Instead, argument about banning alcohol advertising totally caused some dispersion of opinions since it is a quite complicated phenomenon.  Some people see that efficient limitations work better that banning. So, the attitude wall worked at its best and raised some thoughts and discussion among the participants from various EU-countries.

The attitude wall in Stockholm was completed also with compliments from Finland when Ministerial Counsellor for Legal Affairs Ismo Tuominen (below) from the Finnish Ministry of Social Affairs and Health stopped by to express his opinion.
